What the title covers
Keeping a project's information accurate and keeping it moving. That means maintaining the schedule, chasing people for updates they forgot to send, writing and circulating notes so that decisions are recorded somewhere, tracking risks and open issues, preparing the status report, and booking the meetings where things actually get decided. You do not own whether the project succeeds. You own whether everybody knows its true state, which sounds smaller than it is, because most projects fail slowly and quietly rather than suddenly.
A second use of this title
On a project management office team this is a junior project management job. You handle the schedule and the risk register, you notice when two workstreams have made incompatible assumptions, and you are being trained toward running projects yourself. At other employers the same title means administrative support for a project, which is calendars, minutes, travel bookings and document filing.
The vocabulary in the posting separates them reliably. Risk register, dependencies, critical path, status reporting and stakeholders describe the first. Calendar management, meeting minutes, travel, filing and general support describe the second. As with Marketing Coordinator, count which set appears more often before applying.
